In my Naija British accent, #LeyLak18 wedding gbosa gbosa gbosa. My people this one is a special wedding oooo as it’s a beautiful union between our own very blood, Oyelakin Oni aka brother, aka family friends, aka paddies for lifey and his gorgeous smiley wifey Omoleye Martins.
So who else would know this groom better if not our co-founder who’s known the Yoruba groom, Farmer, Biochemist, Pharmacist marketer and ‘omo OYO’ for over a decade, yes o. This guy right here is our co-founders’ roomie and flat mate from way back in OSU (uni) days when they roamed the campus of OSU Ago-Iwoye (now known as OOU), back and forth Ijebu Igbo, Ikenne and Sagamu campus (the towns where the university campuses are located).
But today’s not just about their friendship but rather a celebration of LOVE in caps, the beautiful union of these 2 beautiful Nigerian couple, Lakin and his bae Leye. These 2 have all the greatest reasons to have met each other because God ordained their union as they are perfect for each other, will grow together, learn together, live together, share the best beautiful memories and most especially start a new Chapter to together forever.

The Yoruba bride from Lagos Island formally introduced her Oyo prince late last year in December 2017 in a remarkable family event. For those wondering what an introduction ceremony is, it’s common amongst African weddings and a sort of pre-wedding ceremony in which the idea is to introduce key members of the bride and groom’s families, so they know their new relatives from both families. In Nigeria though, you know how these people do their owambe (party events) things, they like to do it big, their turn up is big, hence the introduction ceremonies have turned out to be mini traditional wedding ceremonies these days. ‘I hail o my people’.

The traditional and white wedding reception took place at Dollar Point hall in Festac Lagos on 9th of June and was everything on point. The mix of Emerald Green and Champagne Gold as the colours of the day definitely created a mesmerizing ambiance at the reception.

As you know, the Martins and Oni’s family and friends shut down Festac town in Lagos for the latest couple, literally right from their bridal shower, bachelor’s eve night both at Tatiana hotel (a new hotel and bar on 2nd Avenue Festac town) to their traditonal and white wedding!!!!

We wish Oyelakin and Omoleye a beautiful and fruitful marriage.
Love sweet shaaaaaaaa 😊
